Bucket List Box Check and Other Randomness

I wish I would have taken pictures.  I was just too excited, I guess.  I have loved Clint Black since 1989, when he released the Killin' Time album.  I played that cassette until I wore it out.  I have always wanted to see him live and last night, I got my chance!  He was fantastic.  He has not lost one bit of his voice.  I had such a great time, I would love to go see him again!

I had some tag type moles frozen on my neck.  I look like I have huge red polka dots on my neck!  I was told it would be like this for about a week, I hope it isn't any longer than that.  I look ridiculous.

I've been working steadily on baby Ben's blanket.  I'd say I am about 60 percent finished with the crochet part.  I am thinking I am going to put flannel backing on it to make it even cozier.  We will see. I will definitely be sharing pictures of it soon.

We have been dog-sitting #1 daughter's dog this week, while she is out of town.  I enjoy having Zoey (our grand dog) around but I am glad we don't have a full time dog anymore.  It's way more time I want to spend.  I have lots more things I would rather do than take care of a pet.

I'm adding a picture because I think every post needs a picture to make it interesting.  This is one I took last spring when we were in Lexington apartment hunting with #1 daughter.  I am so ready for the sun to shine again. I feel like it has been forever since I've seen it.  I enjoy taking pictures of flowers, trees and just nature in general.  I prefer the closeups like the one above.  For whatever reason, I feel like I have a better eye for it than using a regular lens.

I hope everyone enjoys their upcoming weekend, I know I am going to!

Fearless? Not So Much!

I'm not someone you would EVER call fearless.  I created this blog about 3 years ago and then never did anything with it.  At the time, I thought if I called my self fearless on the blog, maybe I would actually become fearless in real life.  HA!

Anyway, I'm closer to 50 now than I am to 40 and I have a lot of interests that are probably very similar to a lot of other almost 50 year old's.  So, why would you want to read this blog?  Insomnia?  Boredom?  Extreme Nosiness?  All three....hey, that's okay.  Welcome!  I, too, suffer from insomnia, boredom and nosiness.  :)

I have 3 children (all grown - only one still lives at home).  My oldest moved 4 hours away and started her big girl job last year.  My middle child (my only son) lives in the same town as my DH and I.  He and his girl friend are expecting our first grandchild in July.  My youngest is a freshman in college and still lives at home.  She currently attends a junior college but is planning to transfer to a 4 year state school about an hour away in December of this year.  Hubby works 2 hours away at a very large hospital where he is a Respiratory Therapist.  He drives up, works 3 days and then comes home.  I work full time as an Administrative Assistant for a non-profit.  So, that is the lay of the land around here.  Nothing exciting, but it is my life so I like it.

Some of the things you can expect to see me blogging about are my crazy family, cooking, photography, needle crafts, the upcoming grand baby and just my life in general.  I hope to have a post up soon about my recent attempts to learn how to crochet. Please come back soon and we will have another visit.
